CHEAP, FAT and OPEN (CFO) is an open source synthesizer, mixed with a stylophone, a gameboy, a circuit bent toy, and then some software too
it is open source and designed to be OPEN and hackable, and therefore the project is inherently messy.
you can do a lot of things with CFO, but CFO has a lot of limitations as well. that's the beauty of it, go with the flow.
this is NOT a finished product. many (most) things are still under development, so expect bugs! errors! glitches! -- treat them as features ;) or dig the code and change them for the better.
I just picked up a stylophone here in the states and was stoked to see your project. You mentioned you were putting together kits… do you have anything to sell or anything… Im really curious about your project.
thanks for the feedback! great to hear your excitement!
yes i got some kits. they are not ver 1.0 yet though, as there are minor errors and the assembly documentation is not really done yet. so it really depends on your electronics skills, as i would not recommend the kit as it is now to someone not comfortable with reading schematics and soldering. let me know if you are interested in the beta, or stick around for ver 1.0

I have been building some noise toys and I wanting to say that your synth is one of the most interesting. I was wondering if you have any more kits or where i could get ahold of one. it looks like a lot of fun.

hej eli,
thanks for the kind words
i am actually in finland right now doing a workshop with the last kits of this batch. hopefully next one wil not be too long in to the future! watch this space
